I've just bought a set of 'italian' 1.9 205 speedline rims for £40 :D apparently the italian ones are lighter than the french??

Anyway, I was going to use them during the winter, what tyre would be a good shout? Obviously winter = rain, I'm also doing a track day in december so if it's slashing down I'd like to use them too...

Also can I use my xsi nuts?

Ta!

Adam.

you need flat faced 205 style nuts for them (scrappy maybe?)

The weight differences are VERY minimal, but Speedlines are worth more than SMR's, and I think French ones are worth a little more.

£40 is great price though - got mine which are pretty good condition for 50 with tyres, but crap tyres none the less!

ive got a set of these too, 2 of them are speedline and 2 are the other make, need to get them weighed to see if theres any diffrence

they've been weighed over and over - minimal difference, although enough to make anal 205 owners pay loads more for Speedlines over SMR's

You may notice a tiny bit of scrapping from these as the offset is slightly out, but they do look nice on the 106.

ok cheers guys, what about the handling, won't have a negative effect will they?

I'm buying some cut slicks to go on my std 14's off a rally-x guy with an xsi, got chatting to him today at brands, its the black one that runs with the 1600's, as seen on M&M tv!
