...could anyone help me out please? how hard isit to fit GTi dials into a 1.1? i would really like to have a rev counter, lol

Well its a number of torx screws which come out easy enought. Best to remove the steering wheel as well.

Thing is does the 1.1 loom have a re counter on it?

Might be easier to get a standalone one and wire it in

ok, firstly the gti dials are electronic, so you'd need an electronic speed sender from the gbox instead of the speedo cable, and yeah, it does have a rev counter, so you'll need to take a negative feed from your distributor or a feed from your ecu to control it. this would involve you running extra wires.

my 1.1 carb has xsi dials in it, which are mechanical, but the rev counter reads wrong (8000rpm at 80 in 5th anyone ?)
