I'd get which ever is cheapest, dont think there would be much difference in the two. You'll be upset if you spend £250 on a Viper because they arent worth it.

For what you pay, the viper is poor value. My brother has just bought one for his 306 d turbo, and althought there is a definate improvement in mid range torque, still not worth £250

i did a back to back test of a bmc against a k&n panel filter in a moddified airbox, the bmc was more restrictive across the whole rev range by 3-4bhp and 3-4ft/lb. (got graphs somewhere). Dont waste your money on an induction kit for the 8v. buy a panel filter for £35. save your self £200, can get a cam with that!!
(pm if you want a k&n filter thats done about 12k miles you can have for £10+p&p) ;)

Rich, what do you mean by moddified airbox? modified in what way to make it better?
As I want to keep my standard airbox, but am so temted to fit the green that I have sitting in my garage.
BMC tend to be cheaper as they are universal.
The Viper are designed for the car, so in a sense should give the biggest power gain possible for that sort of induction kit. However as we all know that is never true, and we also know how reliable Piperpoo can be sometimes.
I would be temted to go for the BMC, but then everyone seems to be getting one these days.

had a viper on my old 8v was good value for money imo but then i got it for £80, not worth the £250 they are new
just waiting to fit a bmc with a rallye inlet on my new one, hopefully will be a better set up
