what happened to french car club?

yeah, there was frenchcarclub as well, that bombed as far as i know... people wondered why they were sat in another club that did everything when they can get specialist advice from the marque specific forums they were members of already.

i agree with that,(stalker) ;) :D

even pug specific is lame, you really need to be amongst folk with the same cars.

I agree with Russ and Col - that is what makes the 106Rallye and 306GTI-6 type forums so successful.

Being to generic may sound attractive to advertisers (i.e. income for the site) but won't be much use if no one uses it.

The best bit about the Rallye register is the lack of adverts I think.

No doubt will have a nose in the new year though - and best of luck.

iam always optimistic about new sites starting up as they very rarely work due to the amount that already exist

take our site www.pugscotland.co.uk for example. its taken over a year to get where it is, and its only now its starting to pick up, albeit slowly.

its not easy. theres already too many forums out there.

Yeah I have been on pug scotland a few times but I really aint got time to frequent more than 1 forum and people here have 106 specific experience which means more specific information to mine when things break.

Thanks for your input guys.

The same flyer has been posted on all Citroen, Peugeot and Renault car forums.

It is in no way a competitor to other existing online car sites.

It has been merely created to bring all French Car Owners together in one place.

If you take FCS (French Car Show) for example, there would not be an FSC (French Sports Club) stand as all cars will be a part of it in one way or another. But if for example Donny South was approaching, then FSC could have a stand there if people wanted to show interest.

Hope to you see you all (or the majority) online next year woo hoo

;)

...but in general, arguments between owners of different brands - i.e. 'mine is best' etc

At the end of the day, we own French cars. If people want to say things like... Mine is better than yours, etc... then they can go and do that elsewhere. As we all know a lot of that goes on within the main specific forums anyway.

This site will be about bringing the French Car owner community and not turning them against eachother.
