The weather is a bit crap at the moment, but if enough people are interested it wouldn't be hard to arrange something.

Any others interested ?

Good stuff, Does some one wanta shout out a location for it ? I don't mind taveling either.

I thought Newry Karting would be a good nights fun, we could meet up, do a bit of karting then go for something to eat afterwards ?

Anyone with any better ideas, feel free to say.

Daren S

RaY Wills

Cool so what time and date im flexible

Wayne D
17-01-2006, 12:35 PM
I'll give them a ring later and see what the prices are and whats available. Would a weekend suit people better or a week night.
If we made it a saturday or Sunday, we could meet up after dinner and get to look at the cars in day light.

Can we start a list of names for numbers on who would go ?

Ray you have made my day...

Your the first person that has ever spotted my car. very happy Most people haven't a clue about them.

Yeah i work in Castleblayney, do you be past there often ? Ive never seen another rallye around apart form the one's that were at the meet and Paul's (PTR's).

RaY Wills

Wayne D
17-01-2006, 07:34 PM
Yeah i've a white S2 bought, just have to take it throught. Its still on English plates at the moment. Getting that sorted in the next few weeks, then it will be on the road. What you driving yourself ? I went to look at a Blue S2 in Enniskillen last summer. Fella by the name of Keith owned it ?

RaY Wills
17-01-2006, 07:41 PM
My friend bought that one its modded to the hilt ive got a white S2 as well it needs a bit of TLC at the mo the back bumper is scraped and the interior could do with a vallet i got the car like that :(

Wayne D
17-01-2006, 07:45 PM
Nice car, when i seen it he had cobra buckets and there was a fair bit done to the engine alright. Very nice well kept car.

You should get your friend to come along with it to the karting when i get it organised.

RaY Wills
17-01-2006, 07:51 PM
Not his seen im afraid ye he try to palm those sets onto me how much was me looking for that car my mate payed 4.500quid

Wayne D
17-01-2006, 07:56 PM
£5500.... :D

it was a lovely car, with only 44 tho on the clock then, but a bit steep on price. 4500 was a good price for it with all the engine mod's, suspension and exhaust.

RaY Wills
17-01-2006, 08:03 PM
Yep and all of the original parts to, the fucker makes a point of smokeing me every chance he gets

RaYWills_N.I
18-01-2006, 05:19 PM
Ive not had a poke round it yet to see but he payed 4.500 for the car so there must be so nice stuff under the bonnet

Wayne D
18-01-2006, 05:35 PM
Full stainless steel exhaust,
full Spax suspension kit,
green cotton filter, s
uper chipped,
FSE boast valve,
camed,
144 bhp.

Thats how the ad read in the Auto Trader.
I drove it on the day we looked at it, it did feel alot faster than a standard rallye.

As i said it is a lovely car, and at hte time i would have bought it. Only i was just finishing college and hadn't that sort of money for it.

Daren S
18-01-2006, 05:44 PM
I doubt it was 144 tbh, considering peter86 on here is running 144 with this (http://www.106rallye.co.uk/newforum/showthread.php?t=17016).

Maybe around 130 at a guess?

RaYWills_N.I

Wayne D
24-01-2006, 06:18 PM
Hoping there would have been a few more names on the list at this stage.

But anyway, think we'll go ahead anyway. How does Sunday the 5 February sound, we could meet up in Newry at around 2.30 -3.00 and depending on numbers we can organise what to do at www.formula-karting.com. Then get something to eat afterwards.

I'll get more details up closer to the time.

RaYWills_N.I
25-01-2006, 05:19 PM
Cant wait by then with a bit of luck ill have my Magnex stainless steel cat back system and 4-2-1 manifold woo hoo

If needs be ill bring a few more pees to fatten up the numbers for the carting if use want

Wayne D
28-01-2006, 04:53 PM
I've booked the karting for next sunday 5th at 3.00. I said there will be a minimum of 8-10 of us. So if people want to bring a friend or two along, then that should be fine.

Looking forward to it, should be a good laugh.

RaYWills_N.I

Wayne how much is it per head cous me mates want to know cous there all crying poverty

Wayne D
29-01-2006, 01:15 PM
If you click on the link www.formula-karting.com then go into prices it gives a list of all the options and prices.

Depending on the numbers that turn up we can decide what to do.

P.S. There maybe a Black S2 RHD rallye making an apperance at the meet up...

Wayne D

Just thought i'd put up a map for anyone who wasn't sure how to get to the karting on sunday. If you keep following the signs to Warrenpoint, you can't really go wrong.
I've booked it for 3.00 so if we could all be there for 2.30 that would be great.

If you need any more help finding the place, PM me and i'll get more details up.

See you all Sunday....:steer:

Hope your birthday was good Chris, I had my 21st before the last meet, that must have been why I was fairly shook and could barely string a sentence together!

It was a good day, Karting was fun, I haven't been since I was a kid!

The Compomotives were Ray's, they look nice, didn't think they looked like 15s though even though they were, looked small!

The car show sounds good, let us know when its on and I'll probably go along. I think there's a car show on around summer time in Rathgar or Rathfarnham in Dublin thats a sort of similar thing, none of that stupid bodykits, dodgy paintjobs and big shiny wheels stuff either.

Wayne D
06-02-2006, 09:25 AM
Not to worry Chris, there will be other days. But the karting was a good laugh.

I was at a Classic/Performace car show in Dublin last summer. It was in Terinure ? It might be the one your on about, that would be good to get a few of our cars on show and get them noticed.
We all put alot of time and effort into them, so we should display them as much as we can.

Daren S
06-02-2006, 09:41 AM
I think thats the one Wayne, wasn't sure exactly where it was but knew it was that general direction, would be good to have a Rallye display!

CDriver
08-02-2006, 09:34 PM
well there is another one ta go to, but one im talking about is in meath in trim i know the man that run's it...... tbh its not flash show but just a good day.....

Wayne D
08-02-2006, 10:21 PM
I'll look into that one in Dublin and Chris if you can talk to that fella for the one in Meath, we'll get something organised.
Its a while off but any excuse for a road trip or a day out is always good.

Count me in, need to have a big entrance for the new Rallye:s2: and what better way then passing a SAXO down the back straight...

Darren mentioned that there was something on St. Patricks day ?

Anyone up for a mini meet at Mondelo park ?

Daren S
07-03-2006, 09:48 PM
Yea its an open track day I think, not too sure of the price though.

I'd definitely be interested in a meet up but don't think I'll go out on track myself, maybe next time though :)
