I was thinking about going down to Westwood engineering in Enfield and getting my car rolling roaded, I heard it's €60 for a front wheel drive car so it's fairly cheap.
Would anyone else be interested in going? Might be nice to have a little meet sometime soon and see how the cars compare on the rollers.

Sorry i've not been on in a while, my membership ran out and only got it sorted there now. ( Cheers Matt:grin: ))
I'd be up for that, it would be great if it was a saturday, but let me know if you can get anything sorted.
I would have liked to have seen my before and after figures with the pugsport now fitted. But your motor is still pretty standard Darren, so it will be interesting to see.

Yea I would expect yours to make quite a bit more, considering the Group N exhaust and the fact that yours is really low mileage.
The results would be interesting I think.

Have you any ideas on times and dates ?

I haven't any dates in mind, any suggestions? I was thinking maybe the first or second Saturday in May. Any objections to that?
Once we pick a general date thats good for everyone I'll call them up and see whats available.

Ok, I rang and booked us in for the 20th of May. It was the first Saturday they had available and it's €60 each. He said around mid morning so probably 10 or 11.
How does that sound to everyone?
Wayne D

Oh not the 20th of May....
Only joking, yeah that sounds good. €60 is a good price for it too.
Does anyone know where i could get a replacement K&N filter to fit into the standard air box on my rallye ?
If kinda used the standard air intake pipes and connected the ram air plastic part to the intake pipe. I've kept the standard airbox in and didn't bother using the air filter or piping that came with the kit.
It's hard to explain but, i'll show you's at the next meet.

I got one from the 106parts website, when I looked in Halfords and stuff they were fairly overpriced.
I have a cone K&N if thats any good to you?
I just got a call off Westward, they've a group booked in at 9am that they forgot about when I rang so we've been moved to 1pm, I think that should suit everyone better too cause some of us have a bit to travel.

Where could i meet you if i did come, newry? TBH its £1 per litre of fuel up here, and i do 30pmh = £10 for 60 miles... round trip to dublin is £35ish lol
Daren S

You only do 30 miles for £10? That's like 13.5 mpg!
I do 35 mpg on long journeys and 25 mpg around town.

I give the car a bit of a clean tonight after i put the manifold on.
Really looking forward to Saturday, hopefully the weather will be good for us.
So what time will we meet at the M4 filling station?
Daren S
19-05-2006, 06:35 PM
If you take the turn off for the M4 on the M50 and stop at the first petrol station on your left, I think it's just before the turn off for Lucan.
It's just as you come around a bit of a bend going sort of down hill.
CDriver
