how do you get the sticky tar sheets off the floor????

there must be an easier way than chipping it off?:confused:

Chip them off then thinners to remove whats left.

It's a long process. :(

Yeah, as above really, hammer, chisel, thinners/white spirit/brake cleaner and, according to Dyno, a heat gun (or hairdryer) will speed the process up. Worth it though, must get rid of at least 2kg! :heh:

I use a tissue to catch it, so it doesn't get on the floor.

heat gun and a chisel and it will just peel off in easy strips. Use WD40 to clean whats left up.

cool - i didn't think heat would work, just make it sticky - well this is the job for tomorrow??

almost finished after about 2hrs (dyno your like superman if you did it in 20mins)

going to bag it and wiegh it in the interest of science - will post the wieght tonight

i guess if your carefull - the thing to remember is the floor isn't painted below it so will need paint anyway???
