Far as I know milk floats are all electric...so Im guessing you cant realy rev them too much encase your batteries go flat?
As far as your s1 goes...On or just before the limiter makes things nice and nippy i find ;)
(7500rmp ish)

change just before the limiter, not on the limiter as that will slow you down!!!

my xsi revs to 7200 so i try change at 7000 to be sure i dont hit limiter!

yep, i keep hitting my limiter at 34mph in first, really annoying! cains about 1-2 secs on to your time

Thanks for that lads. Mine seems to hit about 7400ish so i've been doing it at about 7200 to be safe.

It funny because it goes up so fast compared to other cars i drive. hehe enjoying it though!

I change just a tad over 7k myself once you know were the limiter is you can time changes just right. THe s1 engine loves you after 5k

I bounce it off the limiter once. (so its more of a ricochet lol), you dont drop off the revs as much so you can get to the power quicker......

Depends when the power starts to drop off.
Doesn't matter what it will to!!

pug state they rev limiter is at 7400rpm and peak power is at 7200rpm, altho in 1st and 2nd mine reads 7500 - 7600.

to keep it in the power band ur best to change at or as close to 7400 as possible, hitting it off the limiter once isnt that bad and still loses some time, prob only a few 10ths
