View Full Version : You wanted steelies!

22-05-2006, 06:45 PM
After the vote between the comps and steelies i went ahead and bought some tyres for the steelies. Had them fitted with the brand new center caps and the result was great!

Guess you all want to see pics so here we are.:veryhappy:

looking good matey! are they new bolts as well?

22-05-2006, 07:12 PM
Just love the Blue colour... Can't imagine why they didn't sell the Rallyes with that colour in sweden?

We only have white chavved ones here:(

22-05-2006, 07:13 PM
Looks like i've set a trend! hahahaha QAULITY MATEY! SOO MUCH BETTER

22-05-2006, 07:53 PM
The original bolts should be black tho ;) lol

Makes me wonder about a set of S2 steels....

22-05-2006, 07:57 PM
Warning: they don't stay that nice for long.

I repainted a steelie after only a few months or ownership. :o

Bring back the MO's! :p

22-05-2006, 08:23 PM
Looks way better now!

Noticed much difference in the handling?

22-05-2006, 09:54 PM
Thanks for the replys guys. Handling does seem better, doesn't drag round corners if you know what i mean. Also steering feels slightly lighter. The mo's tend to bounce round corners. May be just due to size i guess. Will be keeping the Mo's Dave. Can't bring myself round to selling them. Will be on and off depending on what mood i'm in. :D

No freedo the bolts are just the ones i had with the Mo's. Enquired about getting some new ones but they could only provide the chrome ones. Don't know how much Peugeot will charge for some new black ones.

seriously though its up to you. im also half thinking about buying another set of tyres for my steelies so i can chop and change when i feel like it.

I prefered the MO's....

Damn. You blokes have the cleanest rallyes around the globe. If I ever put steelies on mine, I'm gonna have them widened. Chav, maybe - cool, definetly!

bridgestone potenza RE720's ;) (RR approved tongue out )

makes me want to change mine as everyones buying Potenzas.

Im deffo gonna buy something different next time - sport contact contis hopefully.

Steels look nice, as always when new.

cant warrant new caps from pug though - there extautionate for what they are. SIlver hammerite does the job on old flakey ones. (although I did manage to pick a new set of caps up well cheap)

haha. Yeah. It's my part time job. Was working at a joinery company not long ago but got laid off! Now working for timber frame company for the time being.

The Potenzas are treating me well. Glad i went for them. I get mixed opinions about having steelies on all the time. Notice how well they collect water after a drive.

Thanks for the comments lads. Just can't keep ontop of keeping it clean at the moment though.
