dont know to be honest...

i rang qep today .. they said they will be interested in doing it and yeah a discount will be provided depending on what we are ordering.
but they CANT do any deals on cams or verniers

verniers are £87

they said they will be getting back to me about prices.

5 flywheels we've got
if we can get 10 then should be quite a nice price..
so come on get ordering lol

I'd be interested to see what you can get. I ask QEP before and they weren't so keen. I don't think you'll get anything off the catcams if I'm being honest. Good luck though as you could make me a big saving.

subaru tech, how much weight is there to be saved with the lightened S1 rallye flywheel, i have been reliably informed that there is not really that much more that can be taken off.

David, I don't think Matt would want to take much off your S1 flywheel. He will probably advise machining it to take a 200mm clutch though instead of 180mm for up to 1400cc engines.

Also, does the price include carriage back to the buyer as well? Just thought I'd mention that as well in case anyone was wondering.

off the s2, weighs app 5.7kg and is taken to 4.8 kgs

no carrage is put on that.

what i wil do is give a list of user names to qep and tell them who will be sending down the flywheel. if you attatch a cover note sayin u got it through nick at gatwick subaru on a group buy on 106 rr and the money with flywheel.

will ask if they will do a price for carrage tho.

i got QEP to lighten and balance my flywheel when i was rebuilding my engine (s2),top notch work carried out,i thought it was a new flywheel they returned me!i didnt notice that big a difference on normal driving, but when you gave it gun,you know it then.jazzle, was the one you drove a QEP fly or another one,coz if you reduce the weight of them too much,it ruins everything.

When they had it lightened did they have the crank balanced with the flywheel attached.
Who did the work? Someone reputable?

ive heard it makes idle crap!, and town driving hard!

Paul Hicks

ive got one and i cant recommend it enough. it revs so much more freely.

Mine idles absolutely spot on every time and has a very, very light throttle and sharp throttle response which makes it a little harder to drive around town slowly, but i use it as an everyday car and it isnt as bad as some make out. For me the benefits outweigh the negatives by a long, long way.

Im out in Canada at the moment and cant get on internet much to check for meets etc, but i'll try to get down to the next SE meet when im back to show a few of you what its like if you want.

Ive also got a standard flywheel for sale too ;)

just a note the Tweeqd Automotive do L&B flywheels for £75 with no VAT
its best to have it dynamicly balanced with the crank, clutch and bottom pully but that will cost extra
