take the Subs and the interior out,
put a cage in
put some proper suspension on
throttleboides,
LSD.
some better wheels.
then it would be awsome
I don't mind the interior too much, it has the torque to pull it along. Handling will be a job though...
Why leave it at 167bhp, that power level may be sensible but rather makes the conversion a little pointless as I doubt the extra weight will put in in good fare against a tuned TU..
Needs much of the bling removed too and I still wouldn't be convinced it can go round corners and wouldn't have to avoid any hairpin bends...

Yeah it would be good if it weren't for all that dogshit inside/all over it.
Personally i'd prefer one with the 206 gti180 engine in.
Isn't there a saxo knocking about somewhere with one of those in?

Are the turning problems going to be aleviated due to the 5 speed or is it likely it will still handle pretty bad? Some smaller wheels would certainly make a big difference. Seems salvagable into a bit of a weapon so long as the handling hasn't been too badly compromised
If I recall though teh sump was close to the ground and I think ti was the Iron engine so weight is likely an issue.

There's a white 106 XSi in this month's PPC Reader's Projects with a 406 SRi 2 litre turbo engine in the front. Just thought I'd plug that. :D

"No test drives" You can understand he doesn't want test pilots, but would you buy a car like that without driving it first....no.

Can anyone explain why there is a power steering bottle in the boot?
Yeah I see that now!! No Idea, none..
I doubt it's a rear washer reservoir, I also doubt it to be anything suspension or brake related so WTF is it?? Perhaps he has a hampster in the rear and that is its drinking bottle?

Hmm i see...
thiner smaller, spacced out wheels for turnings+acceleration
engine rebuild with a ally lump
dry sump
"proper" bouncy bits (syspentionssss)
striped out insides
and some nice braces...becasue face it with that extra weight in the front you'll probably need it.
Tis'nt nearly mad enuff to make it worth while IMHO

I think that car will only be good for novelty value to be honest.

Hmm... I've just been sent a second-chance offer note from eBay for this car. My bid (for fun of course!) was for £9.99. Erm. Don't think he'd sell it to me for a tenner somehow! :o

the car used to have 15"s on it but had to have 17"s to stop the sump from hitting the floor, also the power steering reservoir had to be loacted to the boot as there is no room at all under the bonnet! lol
