hi lads, im new to this site so just wanted to say hello,i ve sold my white s2 rallye last year to a mate of mine and miss it real bad ,i had it for over 5 years from 2000 to the start of 2006.it was a great little motor and never let me down ,i had some nice little bits done to the car e.g. 16 inch oz super ts in white, mersey speed front and rear spoilers, ap racing 4 pots brakes and a few other little goodies ,it looked great and went great, but like everything you move on,now im into scoobys but thats another thing, lucky enough i get to see the rallye every day,the new owner has done a good bit with the car himself ,some i agree with and some i DONT,its abit to boy racery for me now but i supose thats up to him now,ive been lookin at rallyes for sale over the last few weeks and there just out of my budget as it would only be a third car or track car for me,but i know ill have one sooner rather than later ,most likely as a track day car as i have the scooby as a weekend car and a van for work.
my old rallye was a 97 dublin reg. and was owened by a older lady that worked for peugeot in dublin for its first 3 years before i twisted her arm to sell it to me.it took me nearly a year to twist her arm and as my dad was a friend of hers she eventually gave in with only 27000 miles on the clock and i was the new owner, she gave the car to me just serviced and valieded so it was like a new car ,and what a handler it was, every thing clarkson had said about it on topgear and more.
ill hopefully post some pics up soon, from when i got her standard, parked beside another rallye in wales at rallye gb,to now with the new owner.
hopefully i cant meet you all you day in my new rallye, fingers crossed

I've heard of another white S2 around Dublin with Super T's on it, I heard it was in a bad state aswell. Generally most around here like to see Rallye's completely standard body wise and generally the steelies on them too, with just performance modifications.

What sort of AP Racing 4 pots did you have? The 106 Cup one's that fit under 14s (270mm disc) or bigger one's or what?

hi daren s, the brakes were the bigger ones (290mm) disks, the car is not in good shape now as there are to many mods,i said to my friend ,when i sold it to him, that i would take the car off him when ever he was going to sell it,but now i wouldnt buy it with your money,to much shite on it.he is into the modifed scene so you can well imagine.
i think ill go for a blue s2 this time

290mm AP Racing brakes? They must of cost a fortune!

The blue is a nice colour alright, I think I prefer my white one though, welcome along :)

so i presume theres only about 10 or 20 rallyes in ireland as you dont see them that much, ive only seen about 5 or 6 since i got mine in 2000,is there many irish owners on this site and if there was a get together how many would possible turn up? how many made it to the terenure show last time? sorry for all the questions

I think 20 would be optimistic, maybe around the low teens?

Theres about 6 or 7 Irish owners on the site, 4 made it to Terenure last time, 3 white and 1 blue.

I think theres a few more than that Daren, theres 4 that i know of in Laois alone. Some lad in Portaloise just got a blue s2 still on english plates

Two of the ones you know in Laois were two of the one's at last years Terenure show.

I think theres...

mine
waynes in monaghan
johnny5
one in laois (blue on a 106 reg)
another in laois (white 16v, mh-****)
another in laois black (lad who owned the blue 106 reg above)
another in laois blue (english reg, from meath aswell)

yeah you'd be hard pushed to find 20 over here.

Theres a few more white and blue S2's down the north 5-6 at a push, but still a rare sight on these roads.

Chris: i seen your S2 in Portlaois one night, it looked ok, needed a wash. It wasn't in the same mint condition as it was when you had it...
