My brother bought his s1 for 480, bit of a shed, ideal rally project car which was going to be it's sole use. I would say (guess) that 1000 down the road he had a full stage spec 106 rallye.

I am going to be buying one at the end of the summer (end of long hard harvest season) when i have some more money.

I am just wondering how much you lot think roughly you have spent on your rallye (excluding accident damage), having read freedo's blog and a few others it looks like some of your rallye's have cost you 's

anyone willing to bite the bullet and give a rough price on what your rallye has cost you, and say whether it's just a road car, race, track day, rally car etc

cheers
charlie

well in the couple of years ive owned one id have to say without looking at the recipts.
at LEAST 2000

inclds:
engine change, new brakes, exhaust system, mots, radiator, services, and more

excluds: new bumper, lights, grills, interior, respray

but it all depends on how much u are willing to put into something that you love

thats the thing it will be my rally car, toying with the idea of having a standard one with seats and cage, no fia approved stuff for school then getting another next year for full blown stage rallies, becasue i wouldn't want my rallycar being thrashed twice a month by people who i don't know/trust at the rallyschool but my actual rally car if i had 2 would have to be immaculate

Pretty much the same for mine until recently - removing stuff is free! ;)

New S2 wheels, Pugsport, Stainless Manifold, 266mm brakes... I'm on my way now!

I've spent about 2-3k in 2 years of ownership. That has been mainly on repairs! I haven't got many mods on it.

Far too much I think, lol, but I lvoe the car to bits...

It does look in a sorry state of affairs just now as I have no dashboad and the cage is still needing painted, driveshaft on its way out aswell and engine is burning a bit of oil. But nothing a few more pounds cant fix, lol.

I think I have easily spent 2-3k on mine in just over a year...

hmmm tough one that i think its a fair bit now.. had it for 2 years so all the sevicing ect that comes with that.. so with what i paid, then for the engine work, mapping and all other aftermarket parts its surely got to be around 4-4.5k....
