Right, I currently own a saxo vtr  and I have a janspeed manifold, decat and back box with super sprint center section. And i lurve the way it sounds. My new car 106 gti, will most proably be fitted with a pug sport exhuast, but I would like you "guru's" to tell me which size I should go for to get it to sound like my current car.

Here is a video shot today at Santa pod, so you get the idea.

Thanks guys.

Link isn't working, Fred. I think Youtube takes a while?

2" Pugsports are the best sounding exhausts to my ears, but in two years of wanting one I still haven't! It's a sin!

If you come along to FCS you'll hear loads.

God damn poo tube, the idea is I have the exhuast on by FCS :P

3" is a bit boomier than 2" ya?

Get the 2". It's more raspy, I think.

Miles had an excellent vid of him revving the sh*t out of his car with a camera around the back, but it's no longer online :(

Does anyone know what the twin exit magnex sounds like? Raspy or not? Not the old pugsport one.. the twin smallish ovel one.

i think there raspy aswell, but dont quote me cos there was one on a gti and it sounded pretty much like a 2"

So 2" is RR approved then? :P

Anyone actually got a 3" on here?

10-06-2007, 01:21 PM
I hereby grant RR approval.

For what exaclty? Me to get a 2"? The 2" in general?

10-06-2007, 04:46 PM
i have a 3" pugsport, love it! its still raspy, i will try get a video later on tonight for ya

10-06-2007, 05:14 PM
excellent, cheers dave.

3" is still raspy, but is boomier... I got it because I don't like the rolled out tip on the 2"... Ideally I'd have a 2.5" rolled in, but you can't get one.

3" looks good, WRC cool.
2" looks old school cool.

i have both 3" and 2" pug sport love them both 2" is more raspy and find it not as loud as the 3" not sure wat i prefer so i change them every now and then for a laugh.

Not as loud, i have a backbox going if you want it, it's the small oval twin one :)

How much are you after? PM me! :p

12-06-2007, 09:01 PM
if its the s1 magnex one its whisper quiet i think, the gf has one on her rallye along with the decat and its whisper quiet lol

where as luke neal and miller have the s2 version (bigger rear backbox chamber) its loads and loads louder, sounds nice but nowhere near as raspy as the pugsport

12-06-2007, 09:49 PM
Defo go for the pugsport you know it makes sense...

I'd recommend the 2" outward rolled, like james says, its old skool kool!

12-06-2007, 10:35 PM
I have a 3" cause it's all 106 parts had in tongue out

I prefer the 3" looks on the S1, looks really just right from the back imo.

Nothing just postage costs :)

How will I know if my magnex is a pugsport? It was on the car when I got it. It looks like a
3" one. Would there be a marking anywhere on it that will tell me?

If you have the full system, check on the dummy cat...
