Hello hello!

Whats the plans for it?

get all the supsension, bushes, axle etc sorted whilst everythings out and get it rolling, then a full respray as the car looks a bit battered, then get the front end of the car sorted engine wise, then get the interior sorted in it (roll cage etc)

Progress will be slow coz i am limited to what i can do aswell as knowledge and money :p But a suppose thats why it's a project

23-10-2007, 05:47 PM
Sounds cool!

What are you doing engine wise? By the look of the pics it doesnt have one lol!

My brother has a track Saxo (click the banner in my sig!) and I've just bought a Saxo to use as a track car so I'm on doing that, my project for the winter.

If there's anything you need or are stuck with give me a shout.

Yeah it doesn't have. Some may disagree but am gonna go for a 16v lump, the usual breathing mods and a hard decision as to whether it is worth the money to get bodies on it or not? will see closer to the time and how desperate i am to get the car up and running

Manic motors, i got my gti lowered there! then again so does everyone else from the north east! :p

Cheers, sure there will be plenty of questions

While you have no engine, there is nothing wrong with putting a 16v in. We've looked into bodies and they seem to be alot of money and alot of work. With the inlet being at the back they dont really fit and some mods are required. Some gash mods in some cases. It all personal preference though!

it looks like you're missing a wheel on the trailor, i think i remember seeing some hodlum on the A1 flying about in a big merc with a missing wheel.

24-10-2007, 04:54 PM

24-10-2007, 05:57 PM

I am the same as you - i bought a non-working rallye in the summer and habve done little since

Mine is a 16v conversion but its nearly standard again because 8 valves only work :(

But hopefully January by the time i get it sorted!

08-11-2007, 04:35 PM
gonna need it, this weekend think am going to get a compressor and start sanding and spraying the underneath and in the engine bay. then think am gonna send the struts away to ghost developments (if there ok) and new bearings for them, then a bit saving for a donor car. But then again everything is easier said than done :p

08-11-2007, 05:50 PM
Good luck with the project Nick, shame to see Dan's ended up like that but looks like you are going to save it :)

09-11-2007, 01:21 PM
those bearings look pretty fooked marra!! :yikes:
