Hey lads,
Have a blue S2 Rallye and I'm looking for wheels, any of you guys know of any, all options considered..
All help greatly appreciated, I bought a s2 rallye that a young lad had bastardised and almost have it back to looking more or less standard body wise.
Thanks
Gavin

Hi Gavin,
Nice to see another new irish member on the site.
Its all down to personal taste really, best option might be to look in the "Wheels and Tyres" section on here or in other members blogs for ideas, then search for sale threads after that.
Try fourms like RMS, FCI etc and you might be lucky enough to find something for sale.
Some nice Speedline rims available for them, also 205 gti rims or the 206 nimrods and cyclones look the part as well, especially in white if you paint them. Your best to stick with 15" rims whatever you do.
At the end of the day you can pick up new S2 steelies for £32 + vat each, which is cheap and they still look the part.

^ what he said
Like i said in the email Gav - buying them new is probably the best thing to do. I got a few off Wayne as extra's but there actually going to be used with the Rally car i have so only for that you could have gotten a few off of me :)
What kinda S2 you have? Indgio or Bianca?
also welcome to the site - glad to see another irish member!

Well lads, I have indigo blue 97 one, (I also have a 106 gti black with black leather also and a 1.9 gti 205 in silver (on carzone at the mo) and also a 406 coupe v6(also on carzone)! I'm in the motor trade but always have had peugeots for my own stuff.
I'll go to peugeot tomorro and see if they can get the wheels, don't suppose there's a part number for them on this site anywhere?
Any of you guys fit power steering to your rallye? I know it goes against the grain but i'm thirty and getting lazy!

Mine actually has power steering fitted - apparently it was an extra you could order from the dealer. Having said that as you probably read on my site - ive never driven the car so i dunno the difference really.
Alot of people say it takes away from the driving of the car but i can only imagine that comes from very fast road driving which is nearly imposible nowadays with the amount of police/garda on the road. Any pics of the car Gav?

no pics yet I'm afraid, will do soon.
Think I'll go get a new set of steels from peugeot.
Just wondering, if I was to 16 valve my 106 rallye would that de value it would you say?

it's hard to beat the steelies mate, rims do give to alot of extra grip, but the steelies are great fun. The rear end its alot more fun with them on.
Plus they keep the car orignal looking as a rallye and the white steels looks great against the indigo blue paint work.

Yeah heard someone saying that before, they really chance there arm in the South.
Order them in the north, £32 pound each iirc.
Part No. 5401.E3 for the S2 steels.

Lol i should have mentioned that Peugeot dealers in the south are rip off merchants!! lol
They will probably tell you they need to order them specially from France - idiots!
As for 16valving it - there is no evidence in prices to suggest that it devalues the car.... at the moment. although i guess its like anything really once a shortage comes of original S2's the 8v will become more expensive im sure. Im guessing this will happen with the 205 as well, if indeed its not already happening in relation to Mi16 conversions.
