There's a company on ebay selling normal s1 morettes for 345 including postage, so 350 for a set of carbon ones might actually get some people interested.

I was waiting to see what your first set came out like and probably would have started saving for a set.

Tried several time to buy parts from Chris... namely the 1750cc stroker kit that he claims to have. Was promised photos and since then text messages have been ignored for the past week..

I've also offered to buy complete engine parts also but its a waste of time, can't even get an asking price from him. Thanks Chris.

I managed to get a few parts from him this week, i rang him in the end to get the deal done, might be worth giving him a ring?

Glad i found this thread! I ended up buying the Rallye that was on the first couple of pages. I got quite excited when I looked at the pics on page 1. Then after trawling the for sale section as to why the shell was sold to find out its a ringer!!!

On the for sale ad he said the original shell was damaged years ago and was re shelled onto a Roland garos shell and still used the rallye i.d.

Don't really think selling it on was the right thing to do. I know I wouldn't sell it on....

So your saying he swapped the vin plates over onto the garros?

So this would explain why Chris reshelled into the white s1 instead of having the work done on the original black one. Iv just read through this thread as well...real shame Chris never finished this one off...it had potential to be an iconic little rallye!

I'm not sure if the vin plates have been swapped or not. It was done years ago before this guy sold it on. That's why I searched the for sale section to find out if it had any issues!
