Keeping it clean

Now that FCS is over i'm trying to keep the car clean ( helped by the cracking weather ) for the next event, can't make my mind up about Pugfest tho.
Turned the Top Mounts 180 then had a blast round cos. it was such a nice evening.

Looks good mate, I can't remember ever seeing a nicer s1! I thought mine was fairly ok untill I saw yours. I've sold mine now btw, already planning on buying another though, just gotta wait until after i get married(we'll see ). Maybe you'll get bored of yours and sell it to me at a silly price Is pugfest on a saturday?, if so, that rules me and Babylien out as we always have to work. If it's a sunday, I'll probably go for a laugh. Keep up the good work. I all do now is polish my car. The c2 comes up all nice and shiney, it's still a girls car though !

Thanks for the comments, Mark Pugfest is Sunday 2nd July.

Jamie not sure if there is a thread for the Top Mounts, but it's dead easy and takes around 20mins.

Before

1) Loosen the Top Mount nuts ( x3 ) per side.
2) Jack up car so both front wheels are off the ground.
3) Remove the nuts, and you should be able to push down on the front strut to allow the thread to clear the strut tops, then you rotate them half a turn.
4) Pinch up nuts in new position.
5) Lower car back on the ground.
6) Tighten nuts fully and give the car a bounce or two each side.

After ( Dyno's car )

7) Test drive the car to settle it all in.

your car looks sweet sean. whats the main benefit of turning the top mounts around. does this change the camber of the front wheels. wouldn't this lead to wear on the inside half of the tyre? i dunno myself,i'm no spanner spinner

Mat, check out the thread below.
http://www.106rallye.co.uk/newforum/...ad.php?t=27117

It does feel slightly easier to turn steering lock to lock, other than that I haven't noticed a big difference in the handling.
