Black S1 (Out With The Old) In With The New 16v TURBO ;-)

Been on here for ages bu never gave anyone a progress blog so here we go

ive had 2 red rallyes and a white XSi i allways wanted a black S1 coz they look cool so i found one on here with a 16v! yay picked it up from a nice chap needed a bit of work but that was nothing for me..

Day 1.

Cleaning and Restoring

Each to their own.... :-( needed work!

OMP Inox Exhaust

GTi Rear Beam

306 Rallye Brakes

Sold the headunit to my G/F as i didnt need to watch DVD's around a track!
spent about 4 months finding standard Dials and a standard Stearing wheel

Took the tints off the windows as well i didnt need them ;-) not on a track car ;-)

Much Better

Removed the mass loads of wires.

Stripped it out..

Almost

DONE!

Have you spoken to Matt King? He had a turbo'd 8v S1, not sure how many bits he's got left though.

Lovely looking car, looks like excellent work tidying it up too. Love the look of the OMP Inox exhaust.

Are you fitting the turbo kit yourself?

What a lovely car! Got to be one of the cleanest black s1! Nice to see you have big plans for it too!But i have seen a turbo'd 16v s1 before in Cardiff but it was a total dog. Stunning little car can't wait to see what kind of power it makes. Are/have you got a diff in the gearbox?

Easy peasy, move the radiator forward past the slam panel. Also means you can mount your oil cooler on the cross member.

What are you thinking for a larger exhaust? I don't think my Pugsport will be up to the job but I don't fancy 300 for a used BTB!

haha waste no time!

Looks lush, seriously love black s1 rallye's.

Are you going to use the MA box for boost? or going to use a BE box or something stronger?
