S1 full rebuild almost finished

I bought this car about 6months ago maybe a bit longer. When I got it home it was looking a little sorry for itself, the paint wasn’t great and there were a few little dents and lots of stone chips on the front end. So over the past few months i have been making her look pretty again I will let all the pictures do the rest of the talking.

Then I decided to do a engine change.

I had stuff everywhere stressfull times

I thought I might aswell spray the bay whilst I had a chance to.

The 1.3 rallye box looking nice

When that was all finished I gave her a wash.

Then I put the comps back on and the newley sprayed front bumer.

The engine bay finished.

The it was time for it to get resprayed and another new engine.

The doors bonnet wings arches wing mirrors and all little bit got sprayed first then the shell got sprayed.

OOh I love these

Then it was time for the body to get sprayed.

In went the the new engine.

Then i got a 4-2-1 mani and heat wrapped it

I got my comps out of the shed which were covered in cobwebs and dust so I gave them a nice clean and put them on the car.

my new spoiler.
#
And my favorite part of the car but needs a front bumper

I know some of you will not agree with this but i think its cool and I like it

So this is how the car stands at the moment. Comments welcome.

Very tidy, that's a lot of work in 6 months. Did you do all the painting yourself? Looks like a very nice home setup if so!

Top work there Luke.

Have you got some fresh decals to go on when you've put it all back together?

Nice! But I always thought that smoothed bonnets made them look like mk3 fiestas!

Yeah boi I have the print out for that I am going to scan it and put it up lol. I am not going to strip the car I’m not hardcore enough. It’s my daily driver so it needs to be nice and comfortable.
But there might be another project coming soon seeing as this is almost finished.

Nice work there Luke, the red roof and red vents look really smart. Not too sure about the smooth bonnet but morettes always look good especially on black s1s.
