So are you going to tackle the repair work on the shell yourself? I saw you had signed up for an account over on MIG Welding...

ask andy at gwynnespeed, sure he'll be able to advise if he doesn't do it himself.

Well it's about time I shifted my ass and got this body work sorted, and yes you have guessed it the work will not be carried out by myself I've been scouring the Internet for fabricator/welders locally and have found nothing, luckily yesterday I had a mooch on google and had another stab and found this www.miggysmobilewelding.co.uk

So I had a phone conversation with him and we arranged a day for viewing for quotation, anyway the geezer is proper nice bloke, no bullshit and genuinely enjoys doing what he does. We had about an hour going over the car and we then agreed payment and first session on the car.

So the car starts getting fixed next Friday 2pm he is charging me 115 for 3 hours

Break down of cost

25 labour per hour
35 for the bottle of gas (3 hours)
5 for copper.

That's some progress

I've been pretty quiet as of late due to no progress what so ever.
So I've got myself a handy welder to do the work.

The plan as of now is all focussed on chassis

Stage 1 - remove the majority of rust/ potential prone spots & weld up
Stage 2 - prep for paint
Stage 3 - paint entire shell and panels
