Ajec Racing - Gloucester

Basically had the car for two and half weeks, spent ONLY 7 hours in those 2 and a half weeks on it.. and charged me 500 for a half finished job. Asked for an emerald to be wired in, but they didn't wire in the speedo, rev counter or coolant temp! They left the relays in the engine bay which isn't really the best idea as they can quite easily get soaked, OVER half of the connections that they made I had to redo as it was simply appauling. The wrapped the whole loom in tape and didn't use any trunking at all so it was open to the elements. Absolutely disgusting service.

Called them at least 2-3 times a day and only ONCE got a call back. Always too busy to speak to customers. Seem to be just a bunch of spanner monkeys that can only bolt manifolds together. Give them some wires and they don't know there arse from their elbow.

I was told not to put anything about their service on facebook as it was 'company damaging'.. when if they looked after their customers properly and gave them accurate quotes it wouldn't of been needed.

Put it like this I would NEVER EVER advise anyone to go there. Guy (one of the employees) is an arrogant arsehole who when my girlfriend suggested that they were being unreasonable he told her to "shut up and listen".

See how they've just wrapped stuff in tape, alternator wiring just draped over the top of the head, not even secured down.

Even the wiring to the multi plug was just wrapped in tape.. made way too long..

The crimp connectors he had used hadn't worked properly or something.. this is the condition of around 50% of the wiring. Soldering just wrapped in tape, no heatwrap used etc.

PLEASE PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.

Irritates me massively, if it's any consolation at all, many other people have similar stories (Jools with Interpro for example). I've got too much work to be promoting myself really, but in the context of this issue it's probably worth making people aware that I charge 350 for a fully plug and play competition standard loom for any major ECU, with it mounted inside if desired, proper connectors (relay sockets, not spades for example!) All gauges work as normal (except water temp on 3-plug cars).
When I see how much money these guys are making doing work like this, compared to how hard I work for my money, it boils my blood.

Thanks for the +ve Dan.

Were with Sandy on the blood boiling thing! We had a guy come in this weekend after having an engine conversion done by another leicester based company, not only was he unimpressed withthe service and quality, he also got a bill for 4000 when quoted 2000 and not even informed of the cost increase.

Always check out a companies prior work and their reviews. Dont just ask the people with top end work, but as the lower scale too! Sometimes alot of companies dont make the effort with jobs that dont earn as much!
