Hi Luis, Welcome to the forum. Looks like a good project you have there, should keep you busy! Is it the car that was on EBay local to you?

I'd suggest that if it runs you put it in for a MOT and see what they make of it. When I did my S2 8v resto I knew there were a couple of immediate jobs before taking it to the station for testing.

At least this way you get the car on the road ASAP and can then take time to make it right by doing the little jobs. Once you start taking the engine out it can potentially be off the road for months/years whilst one little job turns into a big one

Hi, thanks for your sugestion.
Yeah I do plan to give it a good servive, engine and breaks. Idle is a bit unsetled after it warms up it goes up and down between 1000 rpm and 1200rpm. Then will take it to MOT, hopefully won't have any major works to be done. After that I will just tidy up and enjoy the drive.

Thank you

My S1 used to do that with the revs. It's covered on the forum if you do a search under the engine section. Mine was fixed with a new idle control valve.

Hi guys

A bit of an update.. So my 106 was SORN, now it is taxed, mot'd and insured
Weldding done in front chasis, just a bit needed, gave it a service, changed brakes, pads, shoes, disks, oils, filters.. you name it.. lol

Today did a bit of polishing and waxing.. new wheels and tyres. Looks a bit better hehe
Now I need wheel center caps and tidy up the engine bay and interior..

Cheers
