Exclamation Rrrrallye - event to remember the tragic death of Stuart Harper

As you may have seen in this thread, there is going to be an event held on 14th June 2009 in Keith, Aberdeenshire, in memory of Stuart Harper, another Rallye enthusiast, like ourselves.

The event will be a celebration of his life and his passion for cars, along with the chance to raise funds for young drivers to get tuition in car control, for further information of this please see the following links, one, two, three.

The show will be held on the 14th of June 2009, at the Grammar School in Keith. Keith is located 50 miles NW of Aberdeen. For any southerners coming up, I can put up 5-6 people on the Saturday night, but you'll have to take your own tent. You can also wash/fix your car while your here and there will likely be a BBQ. If you don't want to stay at mine, there is hotels and campsites in the area.

This is an excellent event for the Rallye Register to support, If you are coming along, please confirm your attendance here, and if you want to stay in my garden!

1. Gus
2. Dave P
3. carsounds_dan + Mate (Staying at Gus')
4. Steffen
5. Andy M
6. forbes789

currently talking to the mrs about driving up, its my deadline for the XSi to be completed!

shame its the same date as FCS, although i dont think there was a good word about that show last year. Which is why i think a road trip to scotland would be nice!

Are all 3 of the confirmed running throttle bodies? Im sure they are

Wouldnt mind a chin wag with my brother from another mother, stugee being a fellow 16v xsi

I'm up for coming guys. Just need to get my car finished in time, although 3 months should be enough. Not on bodies mind, just good ol' carbs. If so is it ok for me and a mate to pitch up tent?

Could there be a scenic drive/scenic route planned into this in addition to the main event? It's not an area I know in any great detail (despite living closeish for over a year) but there must be a really great route culminatingin a pub or other eatery which could be exploited in the evening or at some other convenient time?

I was thinking that Rich, I think it would be possible to run home over the Lecht road, through Strathdon and stop in Alford for food.

yeah i'm going to try and have the rallye in a condition to make the trip by june. but even if i don't i would like to make it cos, it's just up the road compared to most RR meets, it's a more than a worthy cause behind the event and i've not made it to any other meet/event yet and would like to see some other rallyes and their owners in the flesh. don't suppose any one heading up from further south has a spare seat?

Sorry to let you guys down but my car won't be ready The company who are spraying it have almost had it for 2 months now I hoped they'd get it done within one month giving me plenty of time to bash it back together. Sadly that isn't the case. Hopefully it will be done soon and I will be able to get to some other events. Hope you guys have a good time

List updated again, Phil can no longer make it because the TAX man is rather good at taking and not giving! I've not heard from Dan so I don't know what he is planning.

The show starts at 10am, and we need to be in the school grounds before then to get ourselves sorted out into some sort of display.

Folks, myself and Dave P are heading up to the show for approx 9:30am, leaving Inverurie at 8am, if you want to join us drop me a PM with your mobile number and let me know. For those up for it, there is the change we might go for a scenic drive after the show but that will be organised when we get there, I have a rough idea of a route already.

Layout of the School grounds;
