Rose jointed 106/saxo steering arms

I have a set of these forsale. I made these for my car to help reduce bumpsteer and then made 2 sets for Mike for his race car and Scottys track car since then people have kept asking me to make them.

You will need to drill the strut TRE hole out to 14mm to fit these.

The driver side one has a slight bend in the arm to avoid the steering rack. includes 2 rose joints, half nuts, steering bars tig welded then painted in epoxy black, m14 nylocs, spacers and 2 m14 high tensil allen bolts. The rosejoint is then mounted underneath the strut mount rather than ontop.

For tracking the passenger side is same as standard, the drive side is abit harder as it has a bend to avoid the steering rack so fine tuning we found needs to the done by turning the out joint so the bend still lines up right to clear the rack, all 3 sets tested didn't cause any problems, Scott had his set up at a garage and I believe mike did his himself.

Price is £110 posted.

Everything that is needed is in the photo to fit a s2, if your running a s1 rack you'll need another one of these http://www.106parts.com/s2/page1.php...a4=9&part=2603 personally i'd replace them both so everything is new.

Cheers Tom.

This kit has now sold, all kits will be £100 posted out special delivery, I've had a good few pm's about these so I'm going to make some more so if people want them drop me a pm and ill add you to the list.

Davey doesn't the quaife rack require a s1 rack? Either way they'll fit both s1 and s2 racks, also mine are on a ax gt rack on my s2.

Not sure how much stronger they'll be over OE, the OE TRE is pretty weak a fair few rally lads have said they bend so a beefier m14 rosejoint should be a lot stronger.

The twinbar that is normally on the right hand side yes it does, you just require the part that is in the link above, i had to get another for my ax gt rack.

As long as there's no free play there's no restriction in the actual mechanism used to connect the struts to the rack iirc.

I Carnt say without trying any and affraid I don't have a lhd 106 to try them on, at a guess the right bar that has a slight bend to clear the rack would have to be fitted to the left and the straight left bar to the right side on lhd ? Any pictures of a lhd rack/pedal box in a engine bay without a engine to see if anything is different?

Looking on servicebox they should fit as the LHD rack is effectively upside-down compared to the RHD one (or, realistically, the RHD one is upside down compared to the original design).

They look the same as the RHD ones so shouldnt be a problem on a LHD car.

Pretty interested if it really helps bumpsteer. Will there be improvement even when not lowering much? Going about 30mm lower than normal (heard that´s about max without ruining geometry and driveshafts.)

That shouldnt be a problem as there higher up that area where they pass through the arch, the only slight problem one lad has it when the car is jacked up the arm hits that area of the arch slightly, this wasnt a problem for me or Mike and Scott who tested them, im putting it down to different length of dampers also looks like Mike has some clearence aswel, i did double check on mine the other night and i have 5mm clearence when jacked up but the AST dampers are abit shorter than normal, this wont cause a problem when driving and i think the lads whos touch slighty said just a bit of trimming back would make it clear for when its jack up.

Im rather interested in these as my steering arm catches my brake servo mount and im hoping this will solve it without having to chop about!

The car is on hydros before you go on about it being low haha.

Just wondering at standard height say do they still come through the hole okay? As i dont want to lift and then smack the chassis leg if you know what i mean!

without trying a set i carnt reall answer the question as if your on hydros your moving the arms all the time, unlike the idea of them is to set them right and they'll stay like that with only a small amount of suspension travel each way.
