I can vouch for this engine - I have raced against it and I have built a similar one - bargain when I look at what I've spent on mine!

For clarity this is not a "talk up" I have met Marcus once (just in case you notice our close locality) If I had known that this was going to come up for sale again I would have bought it and not spent a fortune on building another!

what rolling road was that figure from?

if it was rick woods.i had a fiesta st150 with omex and bodies and full milltek ex manifold and sytem bought car with a power graph from ric woods showing 193 bhp
on my dyno it was 155bhp
it wasnt getting full throttle and the pedal start and finish position had to be modded to achieve it.
after getting full throttle and swinging cam timing and remapping it properly it was still only 186bhp
ohh and for clarity a sandy enined car has the 1600cc record on my rollers of 221bhp

Thanks for the input

Firstly, the engine is not a 1600. Secondly I would be happy for any serious perspective buyer to have the motor engine/bench dyno'd at their cost if they have any concerns over its output.

In practice it has had very good results, more than one person who raced against the lad who had the motor built commented on how fit it was.

Ohh and for clarity, NO rolling road is 100% accurate.

If your not interested in buying it, go and bore someone else.

If it's not a 1600, what cc is it?

That will make quite a big difference to buyers looking for it to meet various competition specs.

Any pictures?

Provenance is extremely important when making claims like this. I can example this extensively, I know of an engine recently sold as "220BHP" by a well known tuner of TU engines, that only showed 169BHP at a rolling road and the guy who forked out strong money for it, is understandably very upset. The point is, for someone like me that has invested a decade of intensive and unprofitable development into achieving this level of performance specifically from these engines, hearing of an engine making this sort of power as a one off, seems very dubious. It's not that I think nobody else could do it, just based on my experience of previous cases like this and other work. I frequently hear engines claimed to be the best out there to help sell them and they never live up to comparison in reality.
I would urge anyone looking seriously at buying this to seek independent provenance of the engine's performance, before agreeing to buy

Thanks BHPtuner by the way, nice to hear!

Marcus seems reluctant to share basic information about this engine. I've had a PM exchange with him and am still none the wiser.

I'm not entirely sure why so many people are getting irate about this?

I know every last detail of what's been done and have all the invoices.

Just put a basic advert up to see if there is any interest. Who in their right mind would spend this kind of money without phoning and talking to the owner then coming having a good look or bringing someone who knows their stuff, taking the sump etc off checking paperwork?

Sandy... I have already stated I'm more than happy for a serious perspective buyer to have the motor checked/dyno'd if they want? Check the post a few above yours.

Cris... if you were genuinely interested rather than just being nosey you would have pm'd me your email address when I first asked and would have the full spec?

Clearly I've upset everyone by listing this for sale, will advertise elsewhere.

Shame as bought and sold some good stuff really easily through here in the past.

Just revised the advert with the engines full spec now I've written it all out.

Also added a few pics and lowered the price.
