April 2011 Meet Pictures

On Sunday the 10th April we held our first Irish 106 Rallye Owners Meet of 2011. It has been our first regional meet in quite a while, so we decided to get the ball rolling again and get a few events and meets organised for the up and coming year ahead.
With Rallye owners in small numbers and well spread out over the North and South of Ireland we agreed to have a meet some where close to Dublin, which is pretty central for everyone wanting to come. So we chose to meet at Lusk Service Station just north of Dublin.
A local Dublin car club “French Cars Ireland” (FCI) also decided to join us on the day and bring along the support of a few more French cars.

What a way to start the first meet off, the weather was amazing, the sun was shining and three S2 106 Rallyes showed up to kick start our first meet of then year. We where also joined by some really nice 106 Gti’s, a 207 Gti, a cool retro white S1, a few other 106’s and a Saxo from FCI.

Some of the pictures from the day, i'll up load more as i get them.

A massive thank you to everyone who made the effort of coming along on the day and I hope you all enjoyed it as must as I did. Cheers to Nazor for the great photos as always.

Wayne

Cheers guys,

I'm hoping to get a few more meets and events organised this year. Its hard with everyone so far apart, but we will sort some thing that will suit everyone.

Here's one for you're calendar Wayne, I'll defo be there with the Rally Car.

Mondello Park to Organise 'Euro-Fest' Irelands first European Car Festival

Following on from the circuit’s successful ‘Jap-Fest’, ‘Classic Car Live’ and ‘Motorcycle Expo’ events, Mondello Park is adding a European Car Festival, 'Euro-Fest', to its stable of shows for 2011. The new show takes place in July and will be a celebration of European Cars, both standard and modified, and for the first time at the Kildare venue will include a Supercar section.

The addition of the show comes on foot of requests from car clubs and owners for a European version of the highly successful 'Jap-Fest' show, which runs at Mondello in September each year. The inaugural 'Euro-Fest' show is set to take place on Sunday July 10th and an exciting day is planned which will include a mix of on and off track action. Mondello's tried and trusted format of mixing feature car displays, car clubs and trade areas with track action and precision driving, will be given a new twist, with the shows' European focus allowing the introduction of a Supercar section for the first time.

Visitors to the show will be treated to a bumper day of track activity which will include, Demonstration Races, Time-Attack, Ireland’s first European only drifting demonstration, Car Track Day Sessions and Supercar laps, which will allow many people to see some of these rare and exotic cars in motion for the first time.

Entries to the show are open to clubs and individuals wishing to display their cars and enter into the Euro-styling competition, from which the car of the show will be chosen. Trade stand spaces are also available and these spaces are open to anyone interested in targeting an audience of European Car fanatics. Owners of Exotic Cars are also invited to join the exhibition and assist the circuit in putting together Ireland’s biggest ever gathering of Supercars.

Further information on the Mondello Park 'Euro-Fest' show will be released over the coming weeks along with details of additional attractions. Clubs, individuals and traders can contact Mondello Park on 045-860200 or info@mondellopark.ie to book their space. To keep up with news of July 10th's 'Euro-Fest' show see www.mondellopark.ie
