Camshaft number stamp query.

A friend of mine is building a race spec 8v engine and has a few camshafts laying around but one just has the numbers: '6571 20' stamped on it.

Does anyone have any idea what make etc this camshaft is?

Cheers, Andy.

Stamped on it or cast?

Normally after market camshafts have a part number stamped on the end of the camshaft, where the pulley bolts onto. if it's otherwise blank then it's likely to be a standard camshaft.

Rallye and XSi camshafts have the letters J and Z stamped on the ends.

He's got loads of J cams, a GMC cam, a couple catcams but we're unsure of this one. I'll get him to take a picture of the numbers.
