Directly from CP-Carillo. Send them a sample, submitted the custom order form and after hundreds of emails back and forth we came to the design that I wanted.

Received a package from Robson Engineering

Custom made, H-beam with ARP custom age 625+ bolts

Manufacturing is top notch, but the phone photos are not. Will take some good ones with a camera.

Looks like as this thread is dying. Well, not just yet.

The engine block was finished quite some time ago, now I'm finishing the head. Just need some things sorted out and it will be ready to bolt on.

As promised, here are some better photos of the rods:

I wanted to know what was the weight difference between the stock rods and Robson's, so I weighted them:

even though these rods are significantly longer then stock, there is still some weight loss.

So I weighted the whole assembly

Stock JP4:

New forged assy:

Crank put in:

Ready to fit the rods:

And assembled:

And here is the head. Before I ported it I cut the exhaust seats so that I would have something to orient by.

The lifter bores were also worked on to accept bigger lifters

exhaust ports done

And the inlets too

As I was saying in the previous post, I'm still waiting on some things to arrive so that we can complete the head.

The whole cam setup has changed a little from my first choice, but let's just say it has more lift and duration.

We are also making progress with the chassis. We are working on a cage currently, and by that I mean the main arch, drivers/co drivers side arch and main arch diagonal is welded. The cage is OMP one, but will be modified extensively. I will add rear support diagonal, cross sections on left and right side of the door and front arch. The cage is made out of Cromoly steel, main construction is 40mm pipes and supporting construction out of 35mm pipes.

Here is how OMP decided to make it (mockup)

And this is current state

Thanks Mike. Actually I left just the links on purpose as the photos are too big, and I was too lazy to edit them. :P But since nobody is complaining, it's ok with me.

Not really. Sitting in the corner and waiting for me to have time to dial in/check the cams, but I'm too busy with other engines, that we are building for customers.
Still need to make the inlet manifold for the throttle bodies and an exhaust manifold...Hope the car will be finished this year, to make some testing.

Finally some progress. I had the time to time the cams and seal of the engine:

We also completed the cage. The only thing that is still missing is the harness bar, which you can see a mockup in the photo.

Decided to cut some holes in the chassis. I know that it doesn't provide any extra weight saving, but it looks kinda cool.

The Satchell engineering top plates were also welded on and we could fit the suspension for trial fitment.
Trial fitting of the wheels:

With the wing on:

And with the arch on:

Need to sort the rear brakes and put the car on the floor so we can finish the underside of the car and hopefully, hopefully soon get it prepared for paint.

Till next time.

I can't see yours from the begining...
by the links in your post I would think that they are not shared. All of mine are from google drive and I checked again and all off them are shared (those with link can view).
I had a problem in the past that some people couldn't see them, but haven't figuered it out what was the reason. Maybe a browser settings or something like that.

Images are loading fine for me.

I have a Series 1 myself but its my daily so im not going to go extreme on it one of the things i would like to ask is what suspension would you recommend?.
The AST ones looked very good but cost more than the Car itself cost.

P.S I live in Greece and the roads here are crap and full of tight bends.

Yes, suspension is expensive if you want the good stuff for the track.
For the road, I would go with Bilstein B8 at the front and Motorsport at the back, with stock springs. anything harder it will compromise the ride quality.
