Exclamation My S1 doesnt like starting from cold!

only recently (last week or so) when i go to start my S1 from cold it just turns over but wont start! however if i press accelerator before trying or when it isnt starting it starts but sounds like its choaking and takes abit more accelerator takes a sec to get to idle on rev counter. any ideas ppl its really starting to bug me now please help! cry

I have the same problem... I actually resolved it by tuning the accelerator cable. Check it out, it could be your problem.

sounds like its not getting enough fuel in, i wouldnt worry about too much, if you have to blip the throttle before you start it cant be too bad can it? You could try running some injector cleaner through to make sure the injectors are working correctly.

throttle pot not happy? or trottle cable pulled on a slight amount on the adjuster causing the ECU to get confused?.. Check ecu temp sens on side of head, usually pop for fun. ( Green rear one ).

Hello to everyone.I know that the thread is very old but i hope to an answer.
I have exactly the same problem in my 106 Rallye S1 and i wonder if the problem solved.
