Hydraulic Clutch System
Anyone fitted a Hydraulic Clutch System?
I've been advised to fit one with the AP Racing clutch I have as the pressure plate is a really stiff one! If you have what did you all use? |

I have fitted a lot to older VW's but usually use
Something from the VAG range but the last MK1 I built I got Wilwood parts from Rally Design And they work well. |

Cheers Dave, I'll have a look into Willwood stuff.
I was thinking on seeing how the C2 hydro clutches are like but wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this on a 106. Dan, The clutch I got came as a kit with a hydraulic release bearing... I thought it was to be used with the standard release bearing some how.... I've been advised that I could fabricate a housing to allow me to use a clutch fork with hydraulic bearing but I will go through god knows how many clutch cables. |

I use a super clutch set up.
I believe they used to be clutch supplier for citroen works team and others... Tony at super clutch will bend over backwards to help you out and he also sells release bearings (non hydraulic) It may be a cheaper option? |

I've seen an MA box used with a Wilwood pull slave cylinder on a strengthened clutch arm.
was in a silhouette C2 grasstrack car, ran a 2 speed dog gearset with a pedalbox s no o.e parts in it. I'd imagine the heavy pressure plate is required to stop it slipping! the C2 R2 clutch is pretty ruddy heavy with the Saxo/106 pedal, no idea what they're like in the C2 originally. a concentric type bearing can be done fairly easily, seen them done a few times on BE boxes, a similar approach would be needed for an MA, the V6 conversions I've helped with have worked really well with a 206 Master cylinder hooked up to the ML slave. |

C2 R2 has a very heavy pedal too. When I built my car I thought there was something wrong so
Had to have a go in a C2 to compare. |
