I need to fit a new altenator and clutch...

If there's any spare time (unlikely), I also need to have a look at the brakes as their squeaking when turning a little right, just a case of some copper grease I believe..

I'll bring whatever tools (axel stands etc) I can lay my hands on anyway as I appreciate that the clutch might take a while..

I know that things are possible/likely to go wrong when doing things such as a clutch, but thats why I pay RAC

Anyone likely to be able to help me with this? I'm happy with the altenator, scared shitless about the clutch though

Ace, I need to fit a clutch soon when I swap my engines over, so your car can be a test run

I'd like to appoint myself official spanner holderer

Only 1 problem I can think of by doing these things on a Sunday - if anything goes wrong, there won't be any shops open to buy parts

Hellfrauds until 4 I think. Other than that yes, you're screwed. Saying that we have a local place here that only closes xmas day, I kid you not every other day he's open + late in the evenings.

10am 1st March to have work done:

1.Nick
S2 Rallye 8v - new clutch and altenator to fit, maybe have a look at the calipers (as they're squealing when turning right grr) and hopefully tighten the exhaust whilst I'm at it.

What can go wrong, with a rallye? hmmm

Need to buy all the parts first though

Nick: Convoyage sounds good, Aylesbury, just up the road from me

really really sorry to have to say this, but.....

this sunday is going to have to be postponed

Grandfather's birthday sunday and big family meal has been planned!

i'm really pissed off to have had to postpone this, but get some idea's on here about what sundays suit you, and we'll go from there!
as my sister said, it may be his last birthday so it's a no escape situation!

Hope you can understand, and get some dates together and we'll deffinately arrange this session!

Regards
Charlie

well, if the weather is ok, we can still sort the car probs all out cant we? just need some space, and people to bring their tools and borrow others a bit etc.. aylsbury way is no probs, and sure we can find a tesco or sainsburys to embark on for space to sort everything out...

thoughts~?

Yeah, James, Louis and I are all in still, problem was we don't really have anywhere to hold it, they're both at uni and i've pushed the parents to french car loving limit with a garage full of engines
