Welshpug, my s1 gearbox has a occasional crunches from 1st to 2nd. Any advice? Costs for repair?

I've checked ebay and gumtree and couldn't see any listings. Are you seeing some? Can I be a pain in the arse and ask you to link one if so please mate.

crunching will be the spring or synchro ring, you'll need to strip and inspect.

there's loads of kits like the ones linked to on ebay, SNR were oem supplying brand.

How hard it is to do it myself? Never did such work before. Only general maintenance and some diy. Thanks
