Track Day Tips

Considering doing a track day at Lydden Hill in August maybe in the MX5, maybe in the S2.

http://www.lyddenhill.co.uk/events/car-track-day-2

I've done rallying, autosolo's, blah blah but never had a crack on the track and fancied a change.

What's the general etiquette on track? I had a look through the Lydden website and there doesn't seem to be much about it.
Are you supposed to pass/be passed on one side?

Can i use a open faced helmet?

Your helmet will be fine, normally just over taking on the straights not corners(they read track rules out), I'd lower your tyre psi a little and I wouldn't apply the handbrake when you park just up after spanking the brakes too

They will read the rules in driver briefing, flags, places to overtake and on which side. Other than that give the car a good service, check fluid levels, etc etc. Arms and legs have to be covered so if you go in shorts take a pair of joggers/jeans to put on!
