Dunno if this has been mentioned but the ring record is not infact held by a skyline. The "production" record which im assuming is being refered to is held by a heavily modifed porsche 996 gt3 (rsr)

The all time record is i beleive still held by a Porsche 962 during the group C era.

i was looking at civics or crx's (old ones)

i would love a teg!!

The GTi came 2nd, they decided that a 13k French Hothatch just couldn't beat a Ferrari out or principle. They didn't test an ITR afaik.

erm..no. the car you refer to is the Edo Competition RACE car. they shoved road legal slicks on and set a lap time. of 7:14 i think.
BUT, Radical then smashed it soon after with a lap of 6:55 and then drove the SR8 back here...

do keep up.

3. Fuel comsumption, high octane fuel has to be used thats bull s***t run mine on 95oct
4.There cheap and nasty to true they could be built better
5. Jap Scrap
6. They don't actually handle that well on the road. you need to drive one
7. I personally think the look like a Daewoo thats crashed into halfords. and ?
8. Changing the spark plugs? No room to work on them. most new cars are hard to work on

I could go on about them forever.

I'm really not a fan of them!

Oh yeah I drive a 1989 Mini 30 with a stage 5 133bhp linked to a jackknight straight cut box and salisbury lsd. Huge spec!
A 2000 W Rover Mini Cooper S
A 1988 XR2
i own both black s1 and a modded uk turbo both good cars in different ways
my uk turbo very fast on corners and ruff roads (if i wont to go fast in a stright line i'll buy a bmw)
s1 rallye i think that been covered on here a few times
plus i've had
2 wrx import imprezas (in the 3 i've own never blown one up)
1 civic type r good handling till it gets wet
1 m3 e36 not one of my better buys(car was nicked)
2 mini parklanes one standard one modded as a hill climber big spec loved it to bits

you can get more powerful new scoobs and evos in the uk than in japan as theyre limited to 278bhp (i think thats what it is anyway) whereas here they come with 320bhp - 400bhp

4-id hardly say the build quality of them is poor, again see point 1.
5-it sounds to me like your not a fan of jap cars full stop, personall i see them as being top of there game really, combining electronics in a was such as they do produce results, i believe a certain skyline still holds the ring record.
6-i couldnt complain of how they handle on the road, especially for how one is ment to drive a car on the road.
7-each to there own
8-surely this applies to most jap cars really....

not picking holes in what you claim, its just i think your comments are possibly abit biased as you seem to have a generall dislike to all jap cars from the comments youve made...
if you look after them, they look after you.

"8-surely this applies to most jap cars really...." True mate....i work on jap cars all day long and i can do the plugs on a subrau in about the same time as a 206 for something.
