Shicking replys...

So I've put an advert in the wanted section for some Bilstein B4 shock (the black gas OEM replacement ones)

So far I've has one guy tell me he has some that turned out to be group N's and another offered me a front pair with 5k on them for 100 (there 31 new off spoox)

Do people See newbie and just try to piss them off?

For 31 from spoox... why not buy them from there then?

Save you the hassle of asking for 2nd hand ones?

I don't think anyone is out to piss newbies off or anyone on the forum, what I would say is there trying to be helpful replying to your wanted ad with what they have. Maybe it's not what your looking for but worth asking you if your interested?

I’m the guy that offered Kieran the shocks for 100 posted, they have less than 5k from new and never been wet, my price was based on the receipts in my file from the previous owner who paid 75ea + p&p….. I didn’t check online until Kieran replied to my message pointing this out.

And my response to you was the same as Andrews…. At that price why bother with second hand?
I’m not trying to rip anyone off and certainly not for just a 100 quid, Nor was I out to “piss you off” in any way.

If new shocks are 31 quid each new, then buy them new, it’s a major part of how your car drives and if you don’t have the trust or manners to deal with anyone for second hand ones just buy the new ones.

I have the trust / manners to deal with people for 2nd hand parts but not when people offer silly prices or the totally incorrect parts

31 new off spoox? Buy them, that's less than half list.

Shit, I'm tempted to buy a set, I don't even own a Rallye any more!

I paid a little under the current prices on Kamracing for my set of B4's - ~65/each, money well spent I might add. Having paid that, and not scouted every site on the web, I'd have offered a pair of mint ones at 100. That was a good deal.

Can't say that your attitude does you much credit to be honest, buying car parts through forums is often a bit hit and miss, especially when some folks don't always know exactly what they've got.

He offered you an option. An easy PM saying no thanks would suffice. No one is here to piss people off.

I'd be biting Spoox's arms and legs off at that price.

Now time for a group hug.

There 140 if you buy the front & rears online. Cheap as chips, I need to get some for the vts only reason I've checked.

in my experience the OE ones are crap. I had to send my rears back after 7 months as they were leaking..... lots......

Awwww

On a side note, chill out, a simple no thanks would suffice especially as its a wanted add! This is not like the other forums you have come from, people actually give a shit on here and don't like to piss one another off for fun! In fact, people actually try and help you out (for instance I'm sorting some cam covers out for Matt who's restoring his family air loom aha).
