Chassis Number location and appearance - look okay?

Hi,

I'm going to be buying an S1 and was hoping someone could tell me if this looks okay.
It appears not to be messed with but perhaps I was expecting the area to be red in colour, not brown? Are they all like this?

The VIN plates may have been reattached at some point as they have slightly larger than normal rivets?

Could you give me your opinion please.
Thanks,

Jon

Area where VIN number looks genuine -S1 are all brown unless over-sprayed and all look like they have been done on a dot-matrix printer. I cannot comment on the VIN plate rivets as I cannot remember - mine have been re-attached in the past.

that all looks fine, the vin was stamped on the shell in primer before top coat was applied over a piece of tape, most 90's and early 90's psa vehicles look like that.

rivets also look just as old as the plate.

Thank you.

Looking forward to getting it - had one when I was about 21. They seems quite hard to find now!
