Very nice mate, i'll look good with the new decals and freshed wheels for sure. Keep us up dates on how your getting on and come to a meet some time if you can.
Good to see an S1 at a meet as our S2's are taking over...

sport got new bottom end

if you wondering people i like rare cars only 28 nova sport left on the road
also have a yellow sr which there is less of again
106 rallye only 500 off don't no how many off in northern ireland bit off a collecter

i dn't no if am selling it yet the 106 will be a everyday car but its maybe to good to use as a everyday car
sport is to good and the sr far to good
so selling 106 might be the best opinon give it to a better home

Rallye's looking good fella. Wouldn't mind seeing some pics of the nova sport and the sr too. A workmate used to have a nova sport, and my brother used to have a jamaica yellow sr. Is yours jamaica or mustard yellow?

My brothers old sr

Loving the sport mate. Followed the full rebuild that Dec did to his sport, unbelievable attention to detail.

Very nice, sorry to here about your bonnet troubles. Hopefully you get them sorted soon.

Would you be interested in a meet up or run some time with the rallyes?

Looking forward to seeing it.

Powder coating would be a great job, but I think it can be expensive. I've painted my steel wheels a few times over the years and it does the job fine. Halfords and the like sell all you need for 30 odd and they will last for years if you are careful and keep them of the salty roads in the winter.

We will sort a run out soon then, maybe up the north coast or if there is anywhere you have in mind let me know.

All your cars look awesome!

I've been quoted 45 each to strip, blast, zinc prime, top coat and lacquer steelies before, whereas like Wayne says you can DIY for 30! This is what I did and it ended up looking crap, but I think that's just my lack of talent coz a lot of people have had really good results!

I'd try painting them yourself or get your mate to, then if it doesn't work out try the powder coating.

Never seen a powder coated steel wheel before, but I'm sure it would be a great job.

I've had a few of sets powder coated over the years. You get what you pay for - cheap powder coating jobs where they don't bother trying to get all the grit from blasting out of the wheels through to these which were absolutely mint:

Thing is 200 for good powder coating compared to 280 for a brand new set delivered... Makes you think if it's worth it! In my experience a good powder coat is tougher and better looking than the factory paint, so yes it is worth it.

I was lucky enough to have set of genuine steelies with only few hundred miles from new. I think when they start to show their age I'll go down the powder coating route. If funds allow, I'm sure its a great job when done correctly.
