'Large Bearing' Cam Bearing Diameter

Sorry if this has been covered before but I couldn't find it in a search.

Does anyone know the diameters and tolerance for the large 8v cam journal bearings? The haynes manual has the diameters for the small bearings but nothing on the large bearing, or 16v.

Thanks in advance

they don't have bearings so I guess they had no reason to measure them, tolerance I would imagine to be similar if not the same for both cam types.

probably one Sandy might be able to answer, but I've not heard of a cam journal wearing away in a pug engine, only lobes!

You're mostly likely right that the tolerance range is the same between sizes of cam, unfortunately I don't know what the nominal diameter is, so I have no idea whether what I have is within tolerance or not! I have a new cam to replace the original so I wanted to check that everything is as it should be.
