the Garage only needs doors, electric and roof tiles now!

I'd say the garage should be the priority so it's all safe and sound for winter and you can keep the project going!

I need to get the cage fitted first... I'll have to try and find someone who has a tow-able car that I can borrow and get the 106 down to Kilmarnock sooner than later... Way back offshore on Thursday.

Got a guy coming today to see about a new front door for the house... the door that's there just now will hopefully be good enough for my garage side door...

Got a number for a roofer as I personally can't be arsed pretending I'm multi skilled lol. I'll see if he's reasonably priced for tiling my garage roof and fitting facia's.

I'll nip out after the door man comes and go see a man about a front garage door.

Your all right this garage is probably took the longest to be built... ever!

Dave,

You get a hold of Kevin yet?

I know... I was waiting for someone who was meant to be picking his car up from the place I'm getting the cage put in last year... Save him going down with an empty trailer to take my thing... guess what his car is still there!

Yeah. Almost at Scott's and the weather has been pish all the way down!

Yeah I have... They are designed for S2 a lot more room than S1

Modifications are underway on one manifold to see what can be done before sending mines and who ever else's away.

Yeah, full cage and getting him to whip up me a hydro clutch system as the clutch I will be using has a strong pressure plate and the bearings are supplied for hydro set ups (AP Racing)

I was thinking on chuckies for just now since I'm moving... but yi ken fit like, I'll just be happy with the chuckies if I get them lol.

Ordered a side door for it that should be here Tuesday and Hopefully get the fascias up so its ready for the lad coming home from offshore to put the tile battens up.

I just hope the cunt Frank fucks off as the weather is gash for anything!

Not got the car back yet but... good news

Got a message tonight saying your cars being picked up on Monday night and I asked for some pictures.

Cheeky sill stands being put in too

Hydro clutch system

He hasn't finished with the car yet that's just his work so far and I will get it sometime next week.

I'll be ordering stuff over the weekend to allow painting and getting a start on getting it put back together!

It's ok I'm light the cars heavy! haha.

Well today about 14:30 I thought it would be a good idea to get the XSi into the shed. (Although I don't have a tiled roof on yet it's dryer than the shed I rent out the road!)

Fits rather nicely!

Thought I would start to remove some things from it... This says it all!

Just used what I had lying about to get the engine out!

Testing out my trusses :P

Couple hours after...

That's enough for today!

andrew, did you make the clutch cylinder mount yourself?

i'm considering going hydro myself but i'm unsure how much hassle it would be.

i could maybe exchange haribo for dimensions?

Unfortunately I'm not that gifted with welding/fabricating, I had Scott Mcminn do it when I had the car down to him for the cage.

I'm still ploding along with the XSi... I haven't had the motivation to finish it yet, once I have that done and the Rallye inside I will get sizes and what's what for you.

So far, Standard 16v lump back into XSi - running off a cylinder it must be the injectors as I had a problem with fuel pump priming and I checked for spark and that was fine.

Garage is now properly wind and water tight, roof tiled, side door installed and a nice electric garage door
I installed a consumer unit with sockets and a switch for 4x 5ft twin florescent lights and ran 6mm SWA from the house to the garage... had to dig down to burry the cable and digging through clay and hardcore is not good, took me ages!

Today I spent most of it tiding up the garage to arrange where to put things.

Tonight I managed to get a hand from a mate and got the Rallye in the Garage and nothing has happened since.

Think my lights will do fine!

I got an email today to about my transfer to the UAE... they want me there Sunday! I've asked to stay a bit longer so I can do somethings around the house... more the garden and 106 lol.

Very true!

Gus, if you read this... sorry I went for the chuckies! it's the easiest thing to make it look better than it was before.

Once I get trenches done I will be using those chuckies for the drainage then onto tar or similar.

All depending how I like it and if I want to stay here.

Plan is get a rotation in a years time and go back to Scotland.

Failing that I'll get the 106 complete and take it over here.

Right folks,

I'm home for 2 weeks but might be shorter due to the work load in the Middle East!

I have not done much as of yet (only got in yesterday) but I have moved the Rallye to a workable position in the garage, XSi is outside and my ZX6R is ready for an MOT lol.

I need a drill to fit my vibra mounts so I'll get them done today... well tonight as I need to go to Aberdeen to get fitted for a Kilt for my wedding... for you English.. a skirt.

In Middle East I was shown an apartment that well I have now rented... GUESS what the door number is... haha

I'll update what I have done soon enough!
