Nissens Radiator Running Hotter
Just after a bit of guidance. Had a Nissens radiator fitted. New coolant, properly bled etc. Previously with the old (f*cked) rad, the temp would sit bang halfway at all times. Now I notice the temp will rise to between half and 3/4 before dropping back to halfway when driving. When stationary the temp will sit on 1/2. Seems odd, I wouldn't expect it to run hotter or fluctuate as it does when moving. Any ideas?
System has been bled through only things I can think are Re-Bleed system Radiator cap? Although it's the new one that came with the rad. I'm at a loss as to why this would be running hotter than the old one which was ruined |

I would re bleed it mate from the 3 bleed points. Try that first.

Yeah I will try it tomorrow. Seems very odd it runs hotter. But it fluctuates in the way I'd expect it to if it had a small airlock
It's the push and turn metal type rad cap. I've read of people having issues with these. Last edited by matt3743; 13-09-2015 at 11:36 PM. |
