rev counter

Hi all,

My car is a 1.1 106 which I have now fitted a 1.3 TU2j2 engine into. Originally the car did not have a rev counter in the dash, but I would now like to fit an aftermarket gauge. Has anyone done this? Any advice on which one to use (the cheaper the better) and how to go about it in the easiest way possible? Thanks

If your car has a digital dash then all you need is a digi dash with a rev counter.

If it's an analogue dash, then if you used the 1.3 engine loom, there will be a signal at the clocks for a tacho, so all you need is a set of clocks with a tacho.

To fit an aftermarket gauge, you need to simply take off the signal from the wire on the dash, I think it's pin 1 on the biggest plug (yellow?)

If you're using the original 1.1 engine loom, then you'll need to run a signal wire directly from the ECU - ive never done that myself so can't advise
